NewLeaf Symbiotics
Laboratory Renovation

St. Louis, Missouri

As a young ag biotech company experiencing rapid growth, NewLeaf needed to consolidate and expand operations. Located on the first floor of BRDG Park building 1, the large lab space was split into two separate labs, one housing the Molecular Biology/Microbiology Lab and the other housing a Fermentation Lab. A separated space for workstations outside the lab is defined by a partition with windows to maintain natural light and access to views from all spaces. Mobile laboratory benches were configured to accommodate the flow between the labs and to support laboratory safety practices. Fume hoods and existing sinks remained or were added for additional flexibility. A new autoclave was added to support the Fermentation Lab.

All laboratory areas were designed for future flexibility and planned future equipment.
